COOKING TIPS & INSTRUCTIONS
Pre-Cooking Tips:
Open Pan Method (Fluffy & Separate Grains)
Water Ratio: 6 cups of water per 1 cup of rice
Closed Pan Method (Steamed & Aromatic)
Water Ratio: 2 cups of water per 1 cup of rice
Rice Cooker Method (Convenient & Consistent)
Water Ratio: 1.5 to 1.75 cups of water per 1 cup of rice
- Rinse the rice thoroughly under cold water until the water runs clear.
- For best texture and grain length, soak the rice in water for 20 minutes before cooking.
Open Pan Method (Fluffy & Separate Grains)
Water Ratio: 6 cups of water per 1 cup of rice
- In a large pot, bring water to a rolling boil.
- Add the soaked and drained rice.
- Cook uncovered on medium heat for about 10 minutes, or until rice is tender.
- Drain excess water, let rest for 2 minutes, then fluff and serve.
Closed Pan Method (Steamed & Aromatic)
Water Ratio: 2 cups of water per 1 cup of rice
- Combine soaked rice and water in a pot. Bring to a gentle boil.
- Cover with a tight lid and reduce heat to low.
- Simmer for 8–10 minutes until water is absorbed.
- Remove from heat and let sit covered for 5 minutes. Fluff and serve.
Rice Cooker Method (Convenient & Consistent)
Water Ratio: 1.5 to 1.75 cups of water per 1 cup of rice
- Add rinsed (and optionally soaked) rice and water to the rice cooker.
- Close the lid and start the cooking cycle.
- Once done, let the rice rest for 5–10 minutes on "Keep Warm" before fluffing and serving.
